What's Going into the Red Mug Diner When it Re-Opens?

Red Mug Diner at 63 East Pine Street (MAP) will close according to Scott Joseph. The Daily City spoke with one of the two owners and plans are still in place to cut the diner in half. One half will be Miami-based Ono Poke Shop (Instagram | Facebook).

According to the co-owner, there are two options for the Red Mug Diner half:
  1. It will re-open as a full liquor bar that serves food
  2. It will be leased out. They're expecting offers for tenants and are open to national ones.
The owners of Red Mug Diner also own the whole building which has a second floor. We told you in January that the second floor was completely gutted with no walls or flooring and up for grabs. Watch our video walk-thru. The space will have stairs that lead up to it from the front of the building.
