New Giant 24,000 Acre Community Coming from Lake Nona's Owner


Sunbridge is a new, 24,000-acre master-planned community in Central Florida from Tavistock Development Company that will include a diverse range of neighborhoods, employment centers and commercial districts. The development is a long-term project with build out expected over the next 30 years and construction anticipated to begin in 2018.

Nearly 13,000 acres will comprise preserved conservation space that includes preserved wetlands and upland buffers. It's surrounded by 15,000 acres of conservation area, more than half preserved within a conservation network. It has 1,100 acres of lakes.

Sunbridge is 2 miles from Lake Nona and iin close proximity to Orlando International Airport, Port Canaveral, Lake Nona, University of Central Florida and the International Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing Research.

The overall development in Orange County would include:

Orange County Public Schools has already planned for three schools to be located at Sunbridge – two middle schools and an elementary school.

Sunbridge is easily accessible from numerous Central Florida roadways. State Road 528 borders the community to the north. The community can also be accessed by several local roads, including Cyrills Drive and Nova Road. There are also several planned, new roadways as part of future development, which includes a new SR528 interchange (Construction to begin Q2 2016) and access from the Osceola Parkway, which is currently in review.
