On July 23rd from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, BullFish Baldwin Park and Baldwin Park Merchant’s Association (BPMA) is hosting the first "Baldwin Park Business After Hours" showcasing what Baldwin Park is up to.
Recent Additions to the Village Center. Two new restaurants opened within the last year: Lago and Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub on Lake Baldwin waterfront and Uptown Park Wine Bar on Jake Street. BullFish specialty department store from Winter Park opened Father’s Day weekend Orlando Metro Gym Baldwin Park - 11,000 sq ft gymnastics facility slated to open by the end of the year. Vibe Performing Arts Studio recently expanded. Seito Sushi’s expansion is underway
Under the leadership of BPMA’s President Dr. Luke Peterson (owner of Pro-Active Family Chiropractic) and the marketing Direction of Pat Jones-Petrick (owner of Trish’s Tea’s), the entire membership of the Baldwin Park Merchant Association has been very active in making these events and marketing efforts come to life.
2009 Events and Marketing:Quarterly Art Strolls, WLOQ Spring Concert Series, 3rd Annual Baldwin Park Arts Festival, Food and Wine Event, Green Fest, ARTYgator Public Art Exhibit, ARTYgator Crawl, Triathlon and Seasonal 5k’s, 6th Annual Doggie Art Festival, Monthly movie nights on the green, Baldwin Park Brochure – local, regional and tourist reach through insert drops and distribution to over 50 area hotels through TravelHost, Co-op marketing efforts with publications like Orlando Home & Leisure and The Park Press.
Still to come to Baldwin Park in 2009 are the upcoming Orlando Orange County Convention and Visitor’s Center FAM (employee) tour on July 21st, more monthly movie nights, partnerships with the Orlando Shakespeare Theater and the Red Chair Project, kick-off to the Global Peace Film Festival (headquarters and box office at BullFish Baldwin Park) on September 20th, another Baldwin Park Art Stroll October 16th, the 10th Annual Pet Costume Contest, and neighborhood holiday events.
