I'm used to seeing people at Ethos Vegan restaurant with tattoos running up their necks, holes in their ears so big a hamster could crawl through and enough piercings to drag a cockatoo down from flight. But never at Ethos have I seen a dog in a gingham dress.
The owner saw my friends and I fawning over it and said "You wanna see something really cute?" She stands up from her table in the shade outside, walks to her car parallel parked right in front of Ethos (and the dog), pulls out a teensy white straw hat, bends over to strap it to the dog's head and stands back up, beaming.
