I had the opportunity to interview filmmaker Emmanuel Itier Wednesday morning in the lobby of the newly refurbished Sonesta Hotel downtown. Click the play button below to listen or
download the mp3. Note: At the 3 minute mark there is a sound glitch and we lost a portion of the interview.

Length: 33 minutes

Itier is the Director of the documentary The Invocation showing at the 2010 Global Peace Film Festival in Orlando Florida Wednesday, September 22nd at 8:30 PM at the Gallery at Avalon Island, 37 S. Magnolia Ave. (Buy Tickets) and Thursday, September 23rd at 8:15 PM Winter Park Public Library at 460 E New England Ave in Winter Park (Buy Tickets).

His film won for "Best Documentary" and "Best Concept" at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. The narrator of the film, Sharon Stone, will receive a "Humanitarian Award" during the Opening night of the newly created Beverly Hills Film, TV and New Media Festival.

About the film: 'The Invocation' is a feature documentary about the notions of 'God' and “Peace” around the World and through Religion, Spirituality, Science, History, Politics and Arts. The goal is to show that looking for God leads to finding Mankind. It’s an invitation to elevate our school of thinking and change our code of acting with each other.

There are people who choose to believe, others who choose not to believe and others, like I, who chose not to choose in order to keep the exploration and the debate going. It's really ultimately a movie not geared at determining whether there is “a God', 'Being', 'Energy', or whatever the name given but to help people understand there is a need to go beyond our differences. It's a message of Peace, Unity and Connectivity. It is an urgent mission in view of the planet in bad health and the many sufferings of the world population.

Let yourself be enlightened by the wise points of views of leaders such as His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Deepak Chopra, Desmond Tutu, Oliver Stone, Mark Walhberg, Stewart Copeland and so many more. Maybe at the end will we understand and accept that we are: One People, One Planet, One Universe and One Beyond.
