Michael Wanzie is hosting his annual "Holiday Sing-A-Long Party" at the Parliament House piano bar Friday December 17, 2010, 6pm-9pm. Free admission. "Susan's Complimentary Holiday Nosh" buffet will be served.
A live pianist, Steve MacKinnon, will play piano for everyone to sing along with. Each person who gets up and sings is entered into a drawing to win a "multi-hundred dollar" gift basket. The more times you sing, the more tickets you receive. The first 10 performers to sign-up (with a Holiday song) will receive a complimentary cocktail. Also, there will be a Best Holiday Duet prize awarded. If you don't want to sing, there will be prizes for Best Holiday Attire and a Christmas Trivia Contest.
More: "Our holiday music books are somewhat limited so by all means feel free to bring your own. Selections are not restricted to holiday songs, but holiday songs earn free drinks. If you play an instrument bring it. If you'd like a turn at the piano - just say so. If you don't sing or play anything, this is still one of the nicest evenings of laid back holiday entertainment among friends you are likely to encounter this season. So do mark the date on your calendar and plan on joining us if you are able to do so. Lot's of theatrical and musical- types come out. It's like a Holiday homecoming for anyone not appearing in one of the 13 A Christmas Carols that will be on the boards that night in Central Florida."
