The Daily City® Food Truck Bazaar, the nation's original food truck tour, visits 11 Florida cities a month with 6 to 20 bazaar-approved food trucks. It was created in 2011 by Mark Baratelli and is the first event of its kind in the nation!

This event is great for locals because it provides a fun food-based, family-friendly event they can plan on enjoying once a month. It's also great for tourists because it's a way to experience Orlando'd food truck scene not on the side of the road, but in a safe space with hundreds of locals surrounding them in an street party type atmosphere.

What should guests expect? Imagine a parking lot full of foodies scanning menus and sampling treats from food trucks filled with delicious gourmet, ethnic, BBQ and desserts. Now, imagine the entire parking lot picking up and moving to a different city night after night: that is The Daily City® Food Truck Bazaar!

Named "Orlando's Food Truck Baron" by the Orlando Sentinel and "The Pied Piper of Food Trucks" by the Orlando Business Journal, Mark Baratelli selects each truck himself. He puts them through a menu review and private tasting. For Mark, it's all about the food. He has a passion for presenting the best food from food trucks he can find in the area. When tourists and locals visit his events, he wants them leaving saying 'Orlando has a fantastic food truck scene!' So, selection, curation and management of that level of quality is supremely important to him.

History

In 2009, TheDailyCity.com's Mark Baratelli created Taco Truck Taste Test, a monthly food truck meet-up and TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show, a monthly art show in a moving van. In 2010, he wrote about Hell's Kitchen Food Truck Bazaar and suggested someone bring the idea to Orlando. No one did. In January 2011, someone suggested we do an event like the ones in Miami. Mark did it on March 29, 2011: Orlando's first food truck event. Later that year, he had the idea to take the event on the road. Now it travels to 11 towns a month.
