The Osceola Art Festival is a juried event with $15,000 in prize money awarded in 9 categories, including two best of show prizes in the amount of $1500 each.
Artist categories include: Painting; Pastels/Graphics/Drawing; Photography; Clay/Ceramics; Jewelry; Glass; Sculpture/Wood/Metal; Mixed Media; and Fiber.
Artists can apply online and visit the official website for more details and a print-to-mail version of the application. The application deadline is December 1, 2011 and acceptance notices will be sent by December 15, 2011.
“This event annually showcases numerous styles of fine art and crafts from functional pottery to jewelry and exceptional wood making to fine oil paintings,” says Visual Arts Director, Jules Davidson, adding, “This, combined with local entertainment and an impressive student art exhibit, creates a wonderful event for families and artists alike.”
