Broadway Performer in Orlando for Concert Sept 10th

Starving Artist Studios is bringing Broadway Leading Lady Barbara Walsh to Orlando. Ms. Walsh has appeared in several prominent Broadway productions. Walsh is best known for her Drama Desk Award-winning and Tony-nominated role as the original "Trina" in the Broadway production of Falsettos. She appeared on Broadway in the musical Big, based on the Penny Marshall film starring Tom Hanks.

Recently, Ms. Walsh was in the 2007 Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company, playing the role of "Joanne." She has also appeared on Broadway in Rock 'n Roll! The First 5,000 Years, the original Broadway Company of Nine, Blood Brothers, and Hairspray. She played the dual roles of "Edith Beale" and her daughter "Little Edie" in Grey Gardens at the Studio Theatre (Washington, DC), as well as portraying Maria Callas in the Baltimore Center Stage Production of Master Class. Walsh's television credits include guest roles on "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and the recurring role of Judy SchulmanBrown on "One Life to Live."

 Ms. Walsh will present a concert at the Orlando Rep accompanied by local pianist Kyle Mattingly on September 10, and will present two master classes on September 11 at Starving Artist Studios. Also that weekend, New York Director and four-time drama desk award nominee Jack Cummings III will present a monologue/acting master class at Starving Artist Studios.
