Opening reception for "The Art of Fellowship in Painting & Drawing" is September 30, 2011, 7-9pm at Crealdé School of Art (600 St. Andrews Blvd., Winter Park, FL 32792). The show runs until December 30.
Curated by Henry Sinn, Director of the Painting and Drawing Department at Crealdé School of Art, the show features the works of these diverse, emerging artists within the department: Jill Marrinson, Daryl Golden, Mary Lidkea, Tricia Ezzard, Terri Rickerson, Orit Reuben, Grace Smith, Gayle Bell, and Jan Hurt.
They will present works in life drawing, water color, oil, pastels, acrylic, printmaking, and landscape painting. This palette of work is as unique as the classes and workshops developed under Sinn’s direction. “I try to inspire the artists and provide opportunities for them to express themselves,” says Sinn.

“Since 1978, Crealdé’s Fellowship Program has mentored hundreds of students through this work-study exchange; many former Fellows have gone on to become professional exhibiting artists,” adds Peter Schreyer, Crealdé’s Executive Director.
Crealdé School of Art is a community based non-profit arts organization established in 1975. It features a year-round curriculum of over 100 visual arts classes for students of all ages, taught by a faculty of 40 working artists; a renowned Summer ArtCamp for children and teens; a Visiting Artist workshop series; three galleries, the Contemporary Sculpture Garden, and award-winning outreach programs. Crealdé’s second campus, the Hannibal Square Heritage Center, opened in 2007 in partnership with the City of Winter Park as an extension of Crealdé’s community programs. Through the award-winning Heritage Collection, the center pays tribute to the contributions of Winter Park’s historic African American community.
