Opening Reception: Monday, January 16th, 8-11pm
This exhibition features new paintings Corrado has completed in the past year and more. Corrado approaches artmaking to explore her individual stylistic portrayals of the human condition as seen through her eyes. Her intriguing imagery is combined with the natural grain of the wood panels she paints on, bringing unexpected warmth to enigmatic subject matter. The figures she paints are a fusion of her personal experiences and influences created through a partially subconscious process.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Janae Corrado received her Masters of Fine Art at the University of Central Florida. She has been exhibited in group and juried shows around the world. A native of Florida, Corrado is an Adjunct Instructor at Valencia College, Daytona State College and Brevard Community College.
