Mills Park's first store, The Fresh Market, opened Wednesday July 31, 2013. This upscale grocery store provides 92 jobs for the community and took a quick nine months to build. The new store features many of same departments and specialities as the two other area stores, but includes a health and beauty section and the option for customers to create their own six packs from the extensive beer selection.
The store also features a large candy section, a make your own fresh peanut butter machine, fresh sushi made in store, a large cheese selection and an extensive flower section.
The Mills Park development will open in phases over the next year or so, with the last major phase being a five story apartment building that broke ground in May 2013. The commercial side of the development should see a First Watch, Brass Tap, and Chase Bank, among others.
Another Fresh Market location is on tap for Winter Springs, with another one on its way, according to Orlando Business Journal.
