America’s Got Talent Finals Feature Orlando Singer Fernando Varela + Forte at Viewing Party Thrown by Garden Theatre
The Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street, Winter Garden) is hosting a viewing party for America’s Got Talent in support of operatic tenor and local resident Fernando Varela and his group Forte, who will appear in the show’s final round this Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 17 and 18) on NBC.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Varela is one of the most highly acclaimed young tenors in the country. Varela is fresh off a 10-city Asian tour, performing to sold-out arenas alongside 16-time Grammy Award winner David Foster. Varela has performed in hundreds of national and global performances in more than 26 countries. Barbra Streisand recently said of him, "I think you're gonna be a big star."
Doors will open to this free viewing at 8:30 p.m. for a 9 p.m. show start both nights. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Audiences are encouraged to bring signs to cheer on Fernando and Forte. The first night, Tuesday, September 17, will be the group’s final performance. Wednesday, September 18, will be the results show where Howie Mandel, one of the show’s judges, predicted, “I think these guys are going to win this entire competition.”
