Halloween Horror Nights opens with screams and lots of rain

The rain didn't stop the masses that came out last night to open Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights 24. Only 27 days left to join in on the 8 haunted houses and 3 scare zones and 2 event shows of the event.

I recommend going on a weekday and or buying a Express Pass. The very best way to experience the even is a VIP ( aka RIP during the season) tour. No thinking, no planning just enjoying everything Halloween Horror Nights!

This years event has a 4 licensed content houses and 4 original. If you don't have knowledge of the show or movie, you might not fully get the story you are experiencing but the sets are still rich in details and over all scares are delivered pretty effectively.
Here are the 4 licensed content houses:

The Walking Dead: The End of the Line,” based on AMC’s hit TV series.
This is the largest maze ever created at Halloween Horror Nights. It is literally double the experience and will feature more scareactors in one single haunted house than ever before. Very impressive, especially for a Walking Dead fan.

“From Dusk Till Dawn,” inspired by inspired by Robert Rodriguez’s cult film and El Rey network’s TV Series,

AVP: Alien vs. Predator,” based on the Twentieth Century Fox film franchise
I really enjoyed this one, I did want more Predators. Maybe they were invisible.

“Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood,”based on Universal Pictures’ upcoming epic action-adventure film.

"Halloween" Based on the classic 1978 slasher film, the all-new haunted house follows the story of Michael Myers, a deranged boy from Haddonfield, Il. It is Halloween night and no one is safe as the psychotic killer embarks on a murderous rampage.
Halloween (1978) is one of my personal favorite classic horror movies. I really enjoyed being immersed in the movie right in front of my face.

As for the original content houses they are:

"Giggles & Gore Inc" You'll die laughing. Have you ever wondered how clowns were created? Well know you'll know.
I've always said, " The only good clown is an evil one because at least they're honest." Right?

"Roanoke – Cannibal Colony" Experience the terror of a community in cannibalistic turmoil. Creative history at it's best.

"Dollhouse of the Damned" Face the horrors within the decaying walls. By far my personal favorite.
Who doesn't love creepy doll?

Scare Zones are back at HHN24!
from the press release:
Even more horrors fill the streets of Universal Studios as guests are hypnotized by deceptive patrons of a seemingly glamorous ball in MASKerade: Unstitched and surrounded by voodoo practitioners that fill the snake and spider-infested Bayou of Blood.

"The Purge: Anarchy" scarezone will greet guests with pure unadulterated fear, bringing to life the turmoil and pandemonium that awaits those vulnerable to masked vigilantes in search of new victims.

"Face Off!" Universal Orlando‘s Halloween Horror Nights will feature an all new street experience with ten different character creations inspired by the acclaimed Syfy series, including a look designed by season 5 Face Off winner and Universal Orlando make-up artist, Laura Tyler. The hair-raising, horrifying characters will inhabit five unique and immersive environments within the scare zone, from eerie scarecrows that go to great lengths to protect a spine-chilling farmland to ghoulish brutes that haunt dilapidated castle ruins.
