Traveling One Show Orlando: The Best Advertising in the World Comes to Town



The prestigious international One Show Awards – the pinnacle of advertising – returns to Central Florida with a special screening and gallery exhibition of the year’s best in creative advertising from around the world.

The Traveling One Show Orlando is hosted by The One Club and mp advertising and features a presentation of the current creative trends, coupled with a gallery showcasing winning ads, design, interactive and branded entertainment work from the One Show Awards, held in May 2014 in New York.

“The definition of advertising has changed because of the way media is consumed — it’s no longer thought of as just ‘advertising’ or ‘interactive,’” says Yash Egami, Director of Content at The One Club. “Print ads can be found online. Television commercials are on YouTube that you can watch on your phone. Everything has basically gone digital.”

“Brands are using the web to reach a global audience without the traditional media spend, and if the content is great, the results can sometimes be as well.” Highlighted work from The One Show includes the Best of Show winner, “Epic Split” for Volvo Trucks, featuring action-star Jean-Claude Van Damme. The ad was recently declared the most-watched automotive commercial ever on YouTube, with 75 millions views. Other One Show winners that will be presented include work from Chipotle, Newcastle, Skype, and P&G. In addition to the video presentation, winners in print and design will be showcased in the gallery.

A grand total of sixty-three countries are represented in this year’s One Show, as far away as Tunisia and Japan. All entries are judged by a distinguished panel of over 100 creative leaders from agencies all over the world. Overall, there were 374 winners that emerged from 21,300 submissions from 63 countries – 97 Gold Pencil Winners, 142 Silver, 134 Bronze and one Green Pencil. Having this caliber of work at the Orlando doorstep, is a tremendous opportunity for the business and creative community of Central Florida to come out and see first-hand where the global creative bar is set for 2014.
