American Gymkhana New Flavor Farm Series Brings Orlando Multiple Five-Course Wine Pairing Dinners

Modern Indian restaurant American Gymkhana (7559 W. Sand Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819) is doing a new "Flavor Farm" series of dinner events which launched on Friday, April 3, 2015. The recently-opened restaurant hosted four-time James Beard-nominated Chef Hari Pulapaka of Cress in DeLand alongside its Executive Chef Aarthi Sampath.

We were lucky enough to participate in this event. The chefs celebrated their Indian culture through five courses crafted using Central Florida ingredients juxtaposed with the Indian spices cabinet.

There were two pricing options:
  • $110 included a five-course tasting menu, wine or cocktail pairings and mini cocktail hour
  • $75 excluded the wine or cocktail pairing
Award-winning mixologists Hemant Pathak and Jenneffer Pulapaka, created wine and cocktail pairings at the Hunter’s Cocktail Lounge. Pathak, a celebrated mixologist from India, has been recognized across the globe at events, such as the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition and the Diageo World Class Global Competition. At the Diageo competition, he won first place in the 'Classic Cocktail with a Twist' challenge by triumphing more than 30 of the world’s top mixologists.
