Cellists and Pianists Could be Banned from Park Ave in Winter Park if Ordinance is Passed

According to WESH, the sounds of live celloists, pianists and other musical and artistic acts could be silenced forever along Park Ave and Central Park thanks to a proposed ordinance going before Winter Park City Council today.

The ordinance makes performers stay in designated areas, forbidding them from Park Ave from Swoope to Fairbanks.

This means no unannounced trios from Orlando Philharmonic playing tunes that waft down the street and continue as shoppers walk from store to store, no opera singers taking to a street corners to surprise shoppers with an unexpected jolt of music and no childrens choirs singing to passersby to brighten up their day.

Just the sound of cars.
