Orlando Meats Bringing Whole-Carcass Butchery to Mills50

According to Bungalower, Orlando Meats is moving into a space in Mills50.

We contacted Orlando Meats to learn more about the move.

Orlando Meats (Website) will be moving their business from 3900 S Goldenrod to 1011 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803, adjacent to SNAP Space in Spring 2016.

This is a permanent move. The Goldenrod location will close at the end of March.

The butcher shop will occupy the corner of the building, known as the Cruises Only building, closest to Colonial Drive.

The butcher shop will continue to source grass-fed and pasture-raised meats within 100 miles. However, there will be some differences.

The biggest difference will be that they will become a full-service whole animal butcher shop.

Says Massoni, "Our master butcher will be breaking down whole carcasses in-store showcasing the art of butchery while striving to be a sustainable shop by utilizing the entire animal."

The new shop will enable Massoni to offer fresh cut steaks and roasts as well as their own sausages, grinds, and other processed meats -- all local, fresh from the farm, without hormones and antibiotics.

Owner Edgar Massoni said "We think it's a great location that is centrally located with high visibility and look forward to being active in the Mills 50 District."

Key factors in Massoni selecting the property:
  1. it's proximity to major roadways
  2. it's proximity to restaurants
  3. it's proximity to great neighborhoods
