Thornton Park Loses Its Third Restaurant in Eight Months

Thornton Park will have lost its third restaurant in eight months when Baoery Asian Gastropub shuts its doors for good this Friday.
  1. Last August, Wildside BBQ closed. Graffiti Junction left their space down the street and moved into the Wildside space. The former Graffiti Junction space remains unoccupied.
  2. Last November Verde Mexican Soul Food closed in the former Tijuana Flats space.
  3. This Friday Baoery Asian Gastropub will close.
Baoery opened October 2015 on the ground floor of a condo building at 617 E Central Blvd, Orlando, FL 3280 (MAP)  Size was a factor in the restaurant's demise according to what Chef Greg Ritchie told Scott Joseph. He said the restaurant should have been half the size it was. (Perhaps the bao bunnery would do well in the half-size Taco Bell-adjacent tiny dead Subway?) There are no hard plans for the space currently according to Orlando Weekly.
