The left-for-dead lot at 51 Columbia Street (MAP) in the SODO District was supposed to house a 102,300 sq. ft. Medical Office Building. It never materialized. But don't fret for the sliver of barren acreage: a 6-story 110-room hotel and a 64-space parking lot will be built atop it. Townplace Suites by Marriott (Website), with its full kitchen suites and Container Store-designed closets will keep the long-idle plot company for the near future.
