Wow. A Broadway play with three Hollywood stars is gonna close less than two weeks after opening.
"The revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo, which officially opened at the Belasco Nov. 17, will likely play its final performance on Broadway Nov. 23 at 3 PM.
Producer Ben Sprecher told Playbill.com that a provisional closing notice was posted Nov. 19. "If the box office doesn't drastically improve, American Buffalo will play its final performance on Sunday [Nov. 23]," Sprecher said. "If ticket sales spurt dramatically, I'll be glad to extend the show."
