Orange County Regional History Center | One Minute History Video Contest

The Orange County Regional History Center announces a One-Minute History Video Contest, the winner of which (and a guest) will be invited to attend the Florida Film Festival’s invitation-only Sneak Preview party on March 9, 2011. The winning video will be posted on the History Center website and will be considered for screening on the Florida Film Festival website. The winner will also receive one-year Membership to the Orange County Regional History Center.

Assignment: Create smart, surprising, fun videos that tell Central Florida’s rich history, as showcased in its exhibits, in one minute. Contest participants are invited to the museum to explore exhibits and shoot footage. Videos must be family friendly and must include footage shot at the History Center (65 E. Central Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32801). Participants should view the full submission guidelines. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m., February 22, 2011. Winner will be selected by a panel of judges from the community.

The Orange County Regional History Center
The Orange County Regional History Center showcases the vast collection of the Historical Society of Central Florida, Inc. The museum features three floors of permanent exhibitions and also presents nationally important, limited-run exhibitions. The History Center, a Smithsonian Institution affiliate, is accredited by the American Association of Museums.

Florida Film Festival
The Florida Film Festival, sponsored by Full Sail University, is the premier showcase in Central Florida for American independent and international film. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Festival debuted in 1992 and is a core program of ENZIAN, a nonprofit cultural organization founded in 1985. ENZIAN and the Florida Film Festival have served more than 1.5 million guests.
