Florida’s Art in State Buildings Program has several public art projects with deadlines in January, February and March. Mark Flickinger, new ASB Administrator for Florida Gulf Coast University, is addressing selections for eight university projects by issuing a single Call for an Artist Registry or Pool from which purchases or selections for commission will be made. That deadline is coming up – January 13 – so visit and read about that Call soon. Two other Calls for ASB projects are currently posted on the ASB site: Hernando County Health Department in Spring Hill (deadline January 14) and Walton County Health Department in DeFuniak Springs (deadline January 28). Calls for two other projects will be posted soon: Charlotte County Health Department in Port Charlotte (deadline February 18) and Jackson County Health Department in Marianna (deadline March 4).
