Florida Theatrical Association Producing Altar Boyz

You know Florida Theatrical Association as the company that brings in the great big national tours to Orlando at the Bob Carr. Now they're branching out into producing. Their first show will be "Altar Boyz," a musical first produced off-Broadway by Ken Davenport, which will run October 8 through November 6, 2011 at The Abbey (100 South Eola Drive) in downtown Orlando. Florida Theatrical Association owns The Abbey. Ticket prices and availability coming soon. Valet parking is available in front of the Sanctuary Building for $5

Altar Boyz is a comedic spoof about a heavenly boy band trying to save the world one screaming fan at a time. After huge success Off-Broadway in New York, Altar Boyz decided to take the musical to the national level with numerous touring productions.

Florida Theatrical Association, the non-profit presenter of Broadway in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, was founded with the charge of educating and developing new theater audiences and encouraging and preserving the presentation of touring Broadway Theater. Since 1989 Florida Theatrical Association has presented over 1000 Broadway performances and distributed over $1 million in scholarships and grants to arts organizations across the state of Florida
