In the Forbes home, Halloween was not so festive. A nasty stomach virus had knocked out the whole family. Little Jane was sick and wouldn't get the chance to go Trick-or-Treating. Quick thinking mom, Elisabeth let her neighbors know that Jane would be celebrating Halloween on November 2nd! The neighborhood of Orange Tree in the Dr. Philips area jumped on board and the little fairy had her own private Halloween thanks to some awesome people who saved this years Halloween!

Jane's mom wrote:This is what November 2nd looks like for our little fairy! She was excited to use her glow necklace. |
Never mind that we were the only ones out in our quiet neighborhood. She's gotta GET THAT CANDY! |
Elisabeth emailed her neighborhood distribution list, and had a huge response! This neighbor left Jane a goodie bag in her mailbox because she was going to be out. |
Everyone said "Happy Halloween!" and acted as if nothing were amiss. "I met so many nice neighbors and was really touched by how into it everyone was."
A few neighbors left bowls out on their porches or goodie bags.

Jane was a beautiful fairy and practiced saying "Trick-or-Treat!" and "Thank you!"

What a great way for neighbors to come together to help Jane celebrate Halloween!
Until next year little fairy, Happy Halloween!!
